are held in August at Weston Bog, 173 Herring Pond Rd
HPWA general public meetings for 2017 will be held Monday evenings at the New Testament Church, 1120 Long Pond Rd in Cedarville from 7-9 PM on the following dates: July 10, August 21, and September 25. Our annual Bird Walk was Wednesday, May 24 at the Alper preserve, and our annual pot-luck Picnic was Sunday, August 6 at Westons Bog, on the East shore of Great Herring Pond.
The last HPWA public meeting of 2017 was Monday, September 25 at 7 PM.

The August 21 public meeting topic was residential rooftop "Solar 101" by HPWA member Phil Angell. It was also our election of officers.
Public dedication of the David E. Alper Nature Preserve was July 21 at 10AM.

SEMPBA Pine Fest was May 20, and our annual bird walk with Brian was Wednesday, May 24th. HPWA's 2017 volunteer river herring count at Sandy Pond Rd bridge began April 1 and ran through May 31st with 16 volunteers!
