Introducing the new Acting Chair of the HPWA Education Committee
At the December meeting of the HPWA Board former Education Committee Chair Lee Pulis proposed Tess Goldman as the new chair of the committee. Tess’s background and enthusiasm so impressed the Board that they voted for her immediately.
Tess grew up in Plymouth on Mast Road and graduated from Rising Tide Charter School. She interned with Lee Pulis at HPWA during high school.
She graduated from Smith College in Spring 2022 (double major in Biology and Computer Science) and currently works as the Stewardship Intern at Wildlands Trust.
For fun, Tess is slowly working to climb all the mountains on “New England’s 50 finest list”, and enjoys baking and cooking, games, musical theater, and puzzles.
She loves her labradoodle named Penny.
Tess stated she is very excited to be volunteering to chair the HPWA Education committee!
- To be able to connect with my local community more
- To be able to reach out to younger people about getting involved in conservation
- I’m excited to help with the Herring Festival again!
Welcome Tess! We appreciate you. Thanks in advance for your contribution. Carol
