2026 HPWA Fundraising Gala for the Land Acquisition Fund
Sunday, September 27th, 4pm to 7pm
At the Bournedale Function Facility, 110 Valley Road, Plymouth

How you can support this worthy effort:
1) Buy tickets and attend this spectacular event., $150 per person
2) Make a cash donation directly to our Land Acquisition Fund (no amount too small).
3) Donate a product or service for our Gala’s raffle prizes.
4) Donate an item for our Gala’s silent-auction.
All proceeds will be added to our Land Acquisition Fund designated to help the Town of Plymouth purchase undeveloped land in our watershed for preservation. Land acquisition is an important part of our plans to protect the water quality in our ponds and groundwater. All our studies and research indicate phosphorus is the primary cause of cyanobacteria blooms which can produce harmful toxins. The primary source of phosphorus is septic systems. Preserving land through conservation means fewer septic systems in our watershed, less phosphorus.
How our Land Acquisition Fund will work: We have created a successful partnership with the Town of Plymouth. When a tract of land is identified for possible conservation in our watershed, HPWA will make a contribution toward its purchase. In the past, HPWA contributions led to much larger Town of Plymouth contributions that enabled the Town to acquire the land the David Alper Preserve and Comassakumkanit Preserve. Both were in consideration for development and are now preserved forever and enjoyed by many for passive recreation.
The Quality of water in our town is important as it affects our property values, quality of life, and health. HPWA needs your help to protect our environment.
